From Infertility to Fertility

January 20, 2008

It has always been a problem - infertility. Though some consider fertility to be a curse (especially teenage pregnant women who would give anything not to have babies), it is considered by a vast majority to be a blessing. After all, nothing could be better than knowing that you have procreated a human being - and a special, unique one at that. So if one of your problems has something to do with infertility, then you must be having one heck of a problem.

The solution to fertility though is not very impossible. In fact, given the innovations we have in technology, that switch from infertility to fertility is not hard at all. All it takes is a little patience and understanding.

The Roots of Infertility

The first question you must ask yourself in order to pave the path to fertility is this - why am I infertile in the first place? Contrary to popular belief, infertility’s cause isn’t just a sperm or an egg cell’s lack of strength. However, such is considered a good ground for infertility. This happens when, in the process of ovulation, either the sperm or the egg cell gives in before both even gets to unite. As such, what ensues is a failure to make both cells meet, hence, infertility. But there are also other reasons and grounds for infertility. One is an unhealthy lifestyle. Don’t think that just because you are infertile, it is already impossible for you to procreate naturally.

Your infertility might have something to do with the way you life your life. Quit drugs, smoking and drinking if having a child really means something to you. Another reason why infertility may occur is because of incorrect timing. You may be living a healthy lifestyle or have a healthy sperm count, but if you are doing it the wrong way - say, when you are currently having your menstrual cycle or you know nothing about the ovulation period - then this might decrease your chances of being fertile.

The Path to Fertility

Given the following reasons, what are the ways by which you can pave the path for fertility? One such way is by in vitro fertilization. If there really is no other means for you to bear a child, then this might be the only way for you. This is also called artificial insemination.

Another way for you to be fertile is by ditching the old and unhealthy lifestyle that you have. If your problem is timing alone, then you might as well try again when you are near the peak of your ovulation.
